    Lebanon- Fadi's Story

    Lebanon Country Spotlight

    Today, Lebanon faces a humanitarian crisis like never before. Already reeling from the Syrian Refugee Crisis, a severe economic downturn, and the lingering devastation of the Beirut blast, this resilient nation faces yet another challenge.  More than 1.2 million people, mostly women and children, are now internally displaced, fleeing violence with nowhere to turn!

    Over 1.2 million people, most of them women and children, are displaced within their own country, fleeing violence with no place to call home.  Families huddle in overcrowded shelters—makeshift homes in abandoned buildings, schools, or tents—surviving in conditions unimaginable to many of us. Our team on the ground, is immersed in the day-to-day devastation and danger that defines daily life in Lebanon.

    As part of the Call of Hope Goat Project, a female goat is given to a Muslim or Christian family. When this goat gives birth to kids, they can be sold on the market. The proceeds can be used to pay school fees and school materials that the children urgently need for their school education.
