Sharing your faith with someone far from Christ can be a challenging and courageous undertaking, no matter where you are! But when it comes to the Islamic world, sharing one’s faith in Christ can also be dangerous! Even so, Call of Hope co-workers search for creative ways to share God’s love with those who need to know the Savior.
God often uses the most unlikely methods to fulfill His purposes. Jonah was swallowed by a whale so the Ninivites could hear God’s message. Joshua marched around Jericho for seven days to gain victory. And David, an unimpressive shepherd boy was used to slay the giant!
Today, Muslims are among the most spiritually resistant people to the message of salvation. However, just like God has done throughout time, we believe He has presented a unique pathway to bring the message of salvation in Christ to Muslims in Africa. This time, God's plan is not a whale, a march, or a shepherd boy; but it's just asunusual! This time, God is using a simple Goat!
The Call of Hope "Goat Project" provides a female goat to children of both Christian and Muslim families. When a goat produces offspring, they can be sold at market and the earnings used for school fees and other necessary items for children to receive their education. Already we have provided over 15,000 goats to children in Africa! But the work is just beginning! As we continue to follow Christ's leading, we need your help!
Right now, thousands of children are waiting to receive a goat of their very own! But they won’t just be receiving a goat. Our team of Frontline Workers will love them, pray for them, and teach them how to raise and care for their goats. This outward demonstration of the love of Jesus is building strong relationships and opening doors for children, families, and entire villages to hear the Gospel message and grow strong in their faith!
