Displaced but Not Forgotten

Three Young Sisters replace Panic for Peace

Louna, Lea, and Lora are three young sisters who fled their bombed village with their grandmother. They now live in a tent community, their world reduced to sleeping on the ground, with all six family members squeezing onto a single large mattress.

Children like these are among the most vulnerable victims of Lebanon’s ongoing conflict. Their innocence is overshadowed by the constant fear and uncertainty of war—a reality that no child should endure.

Once thriving students at a Christian school, now their daily lives are marked by survival rather than learning.

At just eight years old, Louna bears the weight of unimaginable stress. She spends her days biting her nails, unable to shake the fear that grips her heart. Another child, Ali, approached us with desperation in his voice, pleading for clean clothes and sharing that he hasn’t had a bath since the war began.

Despite their hardships, these children displayed a resilience that was both heartbreaking and inspiring. When they learned we were from the church, their faces lit up with smiles. In the midst of their suffering, a glimmer of hope emerged.

The oldest of the 3 sisters expressed her gratitude, saying,

“We love being with Christians and feel a sense of peace when you pray with us.”

It’s moments like these that reveal the power of God’s presence amid despair. These children, though displaced and terrified, found comfort in the kindness and prayers of strangers. They remind us that even in the darkest times, we have the opportunity to reflect Christ’s light and love.

Today, Louna, Lea, Lora and their grandmother are faithfully attending Sunday service and weekday bible studies at the Call of Hope center. Surrounded by a loving community and the peace of God’s presence, the three have replaced their daily panic for peace in Jesus.

With your support, we can bring hope to families like these. A simple gift—a meal, a blanket, or a kind word—can open the door to sharing the Gospel message. Together, we can remind these children that they are not forgotten, and that God’s love reaches even the most broken places.

Will you join us in bringing hope to Lebanon’s youngest victims? A gift of $52 can provide essential supplies and an opportunity to share the peace and comfort found in Christ.

P.S. 100% of your gift goes directly to those in need in Lebanon.
