Addo’s Story: The Transformative Power of a Goat
Growing up in Ghana, Addo dreamed of pursuing an education to serve others in the medical field. However, in a large, polygamous family with limited resources, even meeting basic needs was a daily challenge. The prospect of an education seemed out of reach, as many of Addo’s peers were forced to leave school due to poverty. Yet, Addo remained hopeful, determined to learn all he could despite the obstacles.
At a critical time, hope arrived in the form of a pregnant goat, generously provided by supporters like YOU!
What might seem like a simple gift became a lifeline for Addo and his family. The goat’s offspring provided a steady source of income, allowing them to sell the subsequent goats each year to cover Addo's school expenses.
But Addo's journey doesn’t end there... Today, thanks to your support, Addo is in his second year of nursing school! Through The Goat Project, Addo and his family were introduced to Christ and began attending a local church. He has since become a Bible study teacher and a respected Christian student leader, uplifting his community not only spiritually but also through his growing knowledge of medical care.
Addo's first Goat produced offspring year after year allowing him to attend both grade school and begin studying in a nursing program.
