This kind of visit has become a regular for Brother Abdul, and it certainly has not gotten old for him. As one of our leading frontline workers in Nigeria, he frequents different rural villages of northern Nigeria, aiding in the distribution of goats for the Goat Project.

During his most recent trip, to a specific rural village*, Brother Abdul saw a familiar face appear.

A young man approached Bro. Abdul and immediately began thanking him!

In villages like this, many families survive through subsistence farming that leaves little for extras, like schooling. And if the family happens to be Christian, in this Muslim majority area, they face prejudice and oppression as well. For this young man that approached Bro. Abdul, however, a difference had been made.

The young man introduced himself as Ibrahim* and then shared his story. It began many years ago with the receiving of a goat from Call of Hope while he was a child, living in the very same village.

Ibrahim had not expected such a gift. The impact of the kindness shown from our frontline workers stayed with him and he went on to give his life to Christ with their help!

After receiving a female goat and instruction through our Goat Project, he was able to use what he had learned to begin selling his goat’s offspring. The income provided him enough money to successfully finish both primary and secondary schooling.

Today, Ibrahim is in university!

Ibrahim is one of many children now who have been able to go on to receive a full education because of the income blessing them and their families. It all started with a goat.
